In Karnataka, most of the public sector and private banks are closed for business on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Also, the banks remain closed on national and festival holidays. Since most of the bank services are adhering to the digitized transfer of funds and cash withdrawals from ATMs are possible. The services that will not be possible are opening savings bank accounts, Fixed Deposit, and Recurring Deposit accounts, and requests for stop cheque payment.
