Today this independent nation is called the Republic of Singapore with Singapore as its capital. This nation is often referred to as the ‘Lion City’ and ‘Garden City’ because of the huge number of parks here and tree lined streets. Though the population of the country is predominantly chinese, there are minor pockets of Malys and Indians as well. This country is also known by the name ‘Instant Asia’ because of presenting the varied cultures of Asia brough it in by immigrants. This is a nation that has hordes of tourist spots and has always been an attraction for tourists both within the country and outside. MOM or the Ministry of Manpower is a Ministry in the Government of Singapore that was instated to govern the policies and welfare of labour in Singapore. They are also an authority who regulate the holidays that the country should have. Generally Singaporeans refer to their holidays as the Singapore Mom Holidays 2021
