The Holidays Act 1958 also offers bank holidays in the ACT. In addition to the public holidays mentioned below, there is a bank holiday on the first Monday in August. Bank holidays do not apply to everyone. Employers and employees are advised to check with Holidays Act 1958 for all bank holidays and refer to their relevant Enterprise Agreement or Award. In 2020, Boxing Day is observed on a Saturday. But, there is an additional public holiday on Monday, 28 December 2020. 27, April 2020 was declared as a public holiday in the Australian Capital Territory. This is in addition to the ANZAC Day public holiday which was on 25 April 2020.
