What is the IMD Mausam App?
The 145-year-old India Meteorological Department (IMD) launches its first app for the general public. This application is known as 'Mausam' to enable the users to track the weather forecast radar images and be proactively warned of impending weather events with ease. This is the first-ever Indian weather app that is launched by IMD that is meant for the general public. This app will provide the weather forecast for the next seven days in around 450 cities across India. Past 24 hours weather information will also be available in the Mausam App. The App also provides current weather information, including temperature, humidity, wind speed, and direction, of all cities. The information will be updated eight times per day.
