Why can’t I play Fortnite right now? This is a question that many are asking in the Fortnite community. The reason for this is that developers have shutdown all servers. This has been done for the upcoming season 5 update. The servers were down shortly after the Galactus event. So if you missed out on the Season 4 finale, then here’s what happened. The season 4 finale event was defeating Galactus. Players teamed up and took on Galactus in weapon laden Battle Buses. Once he was defeated, ‘will be continued in Season5’ flashed across the screen and the only option available was ‘Exit’. So since then, all the features of the game have been unavailable. When Will Fortnite Be Back Up? 

Soon after season 4 ended, the game started a seven-hour countdown. So hopefully it the game should be up and running by the end of it. This is way better since there have been accounts of the servers being shut down for days. So according to the timer, the game should be back online with Season 5 at 12 AM ET on December 2. So there’s no other choice but to wait until the servers are up. So the servers should be up by the set time provided everything goes smooth.
