Kaleidoscope Ending Explained

After seven episodes of misdirects, mysterious puzzle pieces, and other clues, the nonlinear heist drama was disclosed in its final episode. The first death in chronological order occurs in the "Violet" episode. We learn that young Ray Vernon (Giancarlo Esposito) and pal Graham Davies (Rufus Sewell) work jointly on schemes to defraud themselves into rich folks' homes to crack their safes. Ray desires to get out of crime and endeavors to work a real job running an auto repair shop. When his wife Lily's (Robinne Lee) racist country club bosses fire her, Ray determines to team up with Graham on a jewel heist at the club. The heist goes amiss, and Graham sets fire to protect their escape. However, Ray discovers his wife was called back to work by her harried bosses. She is tangled in the club's dungeon-like offices and dies. Ray goes to jail, and Graham is reborn as Roger Salas. A fire accidentally kills Lily Vernon Roger/Graham starts.
