What happened to Shorty on Fixer Upper? 

Shorty successfully runs his own business. He appeared in Fixer Upper: Welcome Home episode. He is well and stays good with his friends. He remains friends with Chip Gaines, there is no tension, assisting out with jobs occasionally.  After completing the five seasons of demo days, "Shorty" Sanchez and Chip are buds even now. In 2018, Chip told his fans on Twitter, that Shorty is performing, he is fine as the show ended in April.

Saul Shorty Sanchez is a well-known person for being Handyman for Chip. He met Chip Gaines, who was 16 years old at that time. Chip always explains him as the right man for the job. What Happened To Shorty On The New Fixer Upper?

Shorty does his own business. The on-screen duo united again, so that Shorty may assist with some heavy lifting. Some thought he came permanently. But it was only a fast help, he was giving. Now, he runs Shorty’s Remodelling in Texas. This is why they don’t have time to work on the show. He gives many remodeling works, like changing a small space into a new concept. His services include the work bathroom, kitchen, modification, paint, floors, tile, window install, concrete, fencing, tile, shiplap, etc. 

What does Chip do?

Chip described in his book, that they became friends and cordially worked together long before Fixer Upper hit TV screens. He explained this in the book The Magnolia Story. Shorty is now a famous OG former cast member. He is now a father to a young daughter. He spends most of his time with his daughter.  The Brazos Valley Cotton Oil Mill was closed in the year 1958 and then Silos ceased to stay as the storage in the 1990s. In October  2015, the grounds were unlocked to the public. The complex is now owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines.
