Diane Jenkins is a fictional character from The Young and the Restless, an American CBS soap opera. Alex Donnelley played the role for the first time in 1982. Diane was originally intended to be a two-day cameo, but she was expanded into a longer-term character. Donnelley left the role two years later, returning briefly in 1986 before fully resuming it in 1996. Donnelley left again in 2001 for what was supposed to be a storyline-driven departure, but the role was later recast with Susan Walters. Walters chose to drop to recurring status after three years in the role in 2004 but was not seen again until a brief guest appearance in February 2010.

Diane is a superpowerful female character in the show Young And the Restless. She was first introduced in the year 1982, and she met a tragic fate in the year 2011. Diane Jenkins hoped to be in a relationship with the young boy Jack Abbott, at a selfish cause that he might help her in becoming Acting Model, though Jack was married. Finally, Diane gave up her relationship with Jack and started dating detective Andy Richards. She somehow got bored of him and found her way back to Jack. Numerous things happened in between. She was even prepared for the early divorces, expecting Jack would get committed with her. But things turned against her and finally she had a son with the name Kyle. Kyle was now the trump card for her relationship to start again. Finally, she was murdered and Jack took Kyle with him. After a brief gap, she again comes alive to everybody's shock. She was actually burnt in the pool house when he went to stay with his son there.
