Republic Day Speech In English For Students

Speech-1

First and foremost, I'd like to express my gratitude for providing me with this wonderful chance to speak on Republic Day.

We've all assembled here to commemorate our country's 73rd Republic Day. For everyone, this is a momentous and significant event. We should thank one another and pray to God for our country's wealth and success.

Every year on January 26th, we mark Republic Day in India, which commemorates the day the Indian Constitution went into effect. Because the Indian Constitution came into existence on January 26, 1950, we have been observing Republic Day in India every year since 1950.

India is a democratic country in which the people elect their Prime Minister. It is because, in India only the citizens have the right option of choosing their representatives as political elites to guide the country in the correct path, and republic means the absolute power of the people living in the country.

India is a democratic country in which the people have the right to elect their own leader. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was India's first President. Since gaining independence from British authority in 1947, our country has grown significantly and is now one of the world's most powerful nations.

Discrimination, poverty, unemployment, corruption, illiteracy, and other issues have arisen as a result of development. To make our society the best in the world, we must make a commitment now to address such societal issues.

With that note, I am coming to the conclusion of my speech. Thank you so much! Jay Hind Jay Bharat

Speech- 2

Respected principal, teachers, and my dear friends, good morning. My name is (Your name), and I am a student in Class (Your class name). I would want to deliver a speech on Republic Day.

On this Republic Day, I'd like to express my gratitude to my class instructor for allowing me to speak about the occasion. Today, we are all assembled here to commemorate our nation's 73rd Republic Day.

Our country received its constitution on January 26, 1950. We gained independence on August 15, 1947, but until January 26, 1950, we were subject to British law and regulations. Since January 26, 1950, we have had our own set of regulations and laws that apply to all Indians.

After many disputes and compromises, we now have the constitution we have today. The constitution's drafting committee was established on November 26, 1949, and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was designated as its chairperson. The constitution was ratified after discussion in both chambers, and we became a republic country. The citizens of the country have the ultimate ability to elect political representatives in a republic country. Regardless of religion, race, or language, the Constitution guarantees that we all have the same rights.

The Indian capital, Delhi, hosts a huge Republic Day extravaganza. On this day, traditional marches in the presence of the President take place on the Rajpath. The festivities begin at the Rashtrapati Bhavan's gates. The President of India raises the national flag and delivers a Republic Day speech to the country. On this day, the country's highest honors are bestowed for army and civilian martyrs and soldiers.

Speech-3

Good day to everyone that has gathered here to celebrate the happy event of Republic Day. Every year on the 26th of January, India celebrates Republic Day, which will be the 72nd this year.

On Republic Day, we commemorate the momentous event when our country became an independent republic. As we all know, India gained independence on August 15, 1947, but the country did not have its own constitution; instead, India was administered by British rulers. After much debate and discussion, a commission led by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar offered a proposal of the Indian constitution, which was adopted on November 26, 1949, and went into effect on January 26, 1950.

On the same day, Dr. Rajendra Prasad took office as India's first President. Under the constitutional Amendment, the Constituent Assembly was renamed the Parliament of India.

Since India's independence, the primary Republic Day ceremony has been conducted on the Rajpath in New Delhi, along with the President, Prime Minister, and other dignitaries.

On Republic Day, commemorative marches are held on the Rajpath as a tribute to India. The biggest feature on Republic Day is Raisina hill on the Rajpath past the Indian gate, which commences the ceremony from the gates of Rashtrapati Bhavan. Following the ceremonial rally, multiple senior officials such as the President, Prime Minister, and other higher government officials congregate on the Rajpath.

India has been hosting guests of honor, such as heads of state or governments from other countries, for republic day festivities at the capital every year as part of the celebration.  This has been the scenario since 1950; for example, on January 26, 2015, former US President Barack Obama was honored as the guest of honor on Republic Day. Unfortunately, because of the covid epidemic, no guests of honor will be present for the 72nd Republic Day event.

The flag raising event on Rajpath in the country's capital typically occurs at 8 a.m., accompanied by a President's Republic Day lecture and a Republic Day rally.

The Republic Day March is a popular attraction at the event, and it celebrates India's social and cultural past. It also highlights India's military capabilities. Nine to twelve distinct units of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force parade in all their ceremonial insignia, backed by their units. The salute is taken by the President of India, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Armed Forces.

The soldiers of our nation, the troops, are not ignored on this wonderful event. The martyrs and warriors who have committed their life to protecting the country at all costs will be honored with prestigious awards.

Every school, institution, and office celebrates Republic Day with great zeal and vigour. Various contests, such as dancing, singing, and presenting a republic day speech, are organised in schools.

I would like to conclude by stating that India is a democratic country. Citizens in a democratic country have the option of electing their own leader to rule the nation.

Despite our country's economic progress and achievements, we nevertheless face numerous challenges, like poverty, unemployment, pollution, and, in the last two years, COVID. As citizens, it is our responsibility to overcome these obstacles and grow triumphant.
