Pokemon GO Meowth Limited Research Day

Today, Pokemon Go is running the Limited Research event from 8 a.m. local time to 10 p.m. local time focused on Meowth. The event gives players to complete 20 different research quests that net a total of 60 Alolan Meowth encounters as a reward. Players can also capture up to six Kantonian Meowth and two Galarian Meowth, as well as collect berries, PokeBalls, and Stardust and XP. The event is a tad bit of a weird one - Meowth is n exactly an uncommon Pokemon, and the event doesn't offer any new Shiny Pokemon or other unique perks. Also, the 20-part quest features the same collection of 10 searches twice, meaning that you will end up repeating all your Limited Research tasks should you decide to pursue this till the end. But sixty guaranteed Alolan Meowth encounters means that you should have decent odds of finding a Shiny Alolan Meowth, even if the Shiny encounter rate isn't boosted at all. The Kantonian Meowth has a Shiny form; however, players have fewer chances to grab the Shiny Pokemon during today's event.

Pokemon GO Meowth Limited Research Day Tasks and Rewards

Meowth Research Day is here! Completing limited Time Research tasks starting from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Saturday, October 10, 2020) granted a Kanto, Alola, or Galar Meowth encounter. Meowth Limited Research has a total of 20 steps to complete throughout the day. Kanto and Alola Meowth can be shiny, no reports of shiny Galarian Meowth. Research Tasks are only available during the designated event hours, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. After 10 p.m. the tasks disappeared.
