Margashirsha Guruvar 2021

Every month is dedicated to one or more deities, according to the Hindu Panchang. As Lord Shiva is honoured in the month of Sawan, Lord Vishnu is honoured in the month of Kartik, and Lord Shri Krishna is honoured in the month of Margashirsh. After Kartik, the month of Margashirsha begins. According to the Hindu calendar, this is the ninth month. Shri Krishna describes the month of Margashirsh as his own form in the Gita. Because Shri Krishna is a manifestation of Lord Vishnu, and Narayan devotion is incomplete without the presence of Mother Lakshmi. From this perspective, the month of Margashirsha is considered particularly favourable for Shri Hari and Maa Lakshmi worship. Lord Vishnu is honoured on Thursday. This month's Thursday is particularly noteworthy in this regard.
