In the gambling episode, Allan Erlick was the high roller who was given a huge suite in the hotel above the casino. He lost over $250,000 on the trip, and it appears that this isn't his only loss in life. His company was sold off in 2009, and while the reason is unknown, it's easy to speculate that it was due to gambling debt. "Louis responded to someone posting the receipt with: "Not sure if that is really a legit Uber receipt," but then Richard Wilk, who also appeared in the documentary as Allan's casino inside man, claimed in an interview that he was indeed driving an Uber but he wasn't doing it for the money. That's all there is to it.

Joe Exotic – Beware of The Tiger

Joe Exotic may be best known as the star of the Netflix documentary Tiger King, but he also appeared prominently in one of Louis' documentaries about private exotic animal ownership. You obviously know what happened to Joe since then, but for those who don't?Joe was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison in 2019 for a slew of animal abuse charges and two counts of murder for hire after plotting to murder Carole Baskin. He is currently seeking a pardon from President Donald Trump and remains active on social media, where he presumably has a friend write posts for him. Tiger King, a documentary about this bizarre scenario, was released in 2019.

Fred Phelps -The Most Hated Family in America

Fred Phelps is widely recognized as the founder of the Westboro Baptist Church, and his legacy lives on through various members of his family who still run the organization. As the church's longest-serving member and founder, it may come as a surprise that he was eventually excommunicated due to increasingly irrational behaviour. What kind of irrational behaviour, you ask? Megan Phelps Roper, who was reportedly suffering from dementia, wrote in her book about leaving the church that other members began to believe that God had condemned him. She wrote that he "had a softening of heart at the end of his life," and that in 2013, he stood outside the church and called out to the Planting Peace organization (which had purposefully purchased the house on the other street and painted it in pride colours), saying, "You're good people!"He died from natural causes in 2014.

Megan Phelps Roper – America’s Most Hated Family in Crisis and Surviving America’s Most Hated Family

Megan Phelps-Roper first appeared in the 2011 documentary America's Most Hated Family in Crisis, where she is clearly indoctrinated with the Phelps family's ways, condemning "fags" as evil. In one of her conversations with Louis, she explains that she had contact with four Dutch filmmakers who, after seeing her work, her father put a stop to it.

She is now 34 years old and spends her time travelling the world and speaking about her church experiences to educate others. She has appeared on several high-profile shows and podcasts, including The Joe Rogan Experience in 2017. Louis revealed in the latest documentary that two of her siblings are now engaged to be married, which she was unaware of at the time and was clearly upset about. She maintains that she has limited contact with family members who are still members of the church and that she is no longer a Christian.

Dr Martha Ogman – Gambling in Las Vegas

Dr Martha Ogman was a retired dentist who claimed to have played the slots every day for ten years before meeting Louis. She, along with a number of other people featured in the documentary, had lost a significant amount of money to their addiction, which was estimated to be in the millions of dollars. There's not much to be found from an elderly lady who is unlikely to use the internet, but Martha is now 92 years old and still lives in the same community depicted in the documentary, according to a Reddit post. It's unclear whether she kept playing the slot machines.

Steve Erhardt – Under the knife

For obvious reasons, Steve Erhardt was a prominent figure in Louis' documentary about plastic surgery. Steve, a hair and makeup artist, had many surgeries and inspired Louis to get plastic surgery in the form of liposuction at the end of the show.

Laura Noblin – Under the Knife

Laura Noblin appeared in the 2007 documentary Under the Knife with Steve, where she desperately sought plastic surgery in order to look younger in order to impress her ex-boyfriend. It was sad to see her cry so much when talking about him and appear to become so obsessed with her image as a way to boost her self-confidence. There isn't much information available about Laura these days, but there are a few crumbs scattered around the internet. For starters, arrestfacts.com reveals that she was arrested on three separate occasions between 1995 and 1999. She was arrested again in 2014 for similar charges of driving while intoxicated, according to texasstatemugshots.org.

Nicky Ingrassia – Extreme Love: Autism

Nicky Ingrassia was one of the autistic children featured in one of Louis' Extreme Love episodes, which depicted his difficulties in school and socializing with others. In one particularly memorable scene, he showed Louis the Dragonula story book he had written, as well as the dictionaries he was compiling in various Japanese dialects. Joe Walker – Louis Theroux: Drinking to Oblivion

Joe Walker was unquestionably the most memorable aspect of the alcohol documentary because of the humility he displayed in the face of a disease that many people avoid confronting. After a series of traumas left him feeling unable to cope,

he, like many other alcoholics, was triggered into drinking bottles of straight vodka. Joe appears to be in much better shape now than he was before the show. Although he recently revealed on Twitter that he is suffering from relapses as well as feelings of loneliness as a result of the current pandemic, he appears to be in much better health than when he was hospitalized.
