Lord Ganesh Vrat Katha

Lord Ganesha is known as the lord of wisdom, prudence, and wealth. According to Hindu beliefs, worshipping Ganesh Ji keeps happiness and peace in the house, and all the sorrows and pains of life go away with auspiciousness. Lord Ganesha removes the calamities in the lives of his devotees forever and completes the auspicious works that have been pending for a long time. Ganesh Ji's aarti is done first in any worship, and any worship is considered incomplete without telling the story of Ganesh Ji. Today we have brought up the story of Ganesh Ji, which is heard in every worship. According to mythology, a widow lived with her daughter-in-law in a village. Her daughter-in-law was slow-witted, could not bear her hunger, and was always eager to eat. She used to get up and eat food and then do the rest of the household chores. One day the widow thought of getting the pooja done in her house, but she was a little worried as her daughter-in-law would run to eat the following day as soon as she got up and would falsify the dish prepared for the pooja. The widow found a way to keep her daughter-in-law away from the dish prepared for worship. On the morning of worship, she took a pot, made a hole in it, and said to her daughter-in-law that today is worship, that's why before eating food, bring it full of water. The daughter-in-law also turned out to be clever; she had seen that the widow had pierced the bottom of the pot, so she tied flour in her sari and went to the waterfall. There she took out the flour and started making batis with the help of healthy water. There was a cremation ground near the well where the pyre was lit. The daughter-in-law baked her batis in its flame. When her wicks were happy, she went to the nearby temple of Ganesh Ji, where someone had offered a Chola to Ganesh Ji. She saw that Ghee was smeared on Ganesh Ji's belly, she put that Ghee on her bati, and after offering it to Ganesh Ji, she ate it and went back home. Ganesh Ji got very angry at this act of daughter-in-law, and in anger, he put the finger on his nose. When the villagers saw that Ganesh jihad put the finger on his nose, they tried hard to persuade them, but Ganesh Ji did not take his finger back.

Then the king came to know about this, the king called prominent pundits and astrologers and got the havan done, but Ganesh Ji still did not agree. Everyone was apprehensive. The king announced in the whole village that whoever would be able to remove the finger from Ganesh Ji's nose would be given 5 villages as a reward. The village people started persuading Ganesh Ji, but Ganesh Ji disagreed and kept offering his finger. The widow's daughter-in-law said that if everyone gave her permission, she could remove Ganesh Ji's finger. Listening to her, the widow started laughing and said that when the great scholars could not do anything, how would she be able to convince Ganesh Ji. Someone said that when everyone got a chance, he should also get a chance, then everyone agreed to give a chance to the daughter-in-law. But the daughter-in-law put a condition. She said the curtain should be tied from her house to the temple. Everyone thought that so much had already happened, so what went into tying the curtain. According to the daughter-in-law, a veil was placed from her house to the temple. The daughter-in-law made up her mind, hid the Mowgli in her dress, and went to the temple. Going to the temple, he told Ganesh Ji, " What did I take a little ghee from your belly? You put the finger on your nose, now you are removing the finger from the nose, or should I give a mug that you will be broken into pieces now. Hearing this warning of daughter-in-law Ganesh Ji got a little scared and thought that this is complete madness, should it kill me. Ganesh Ji removed the finger from his nose without thinking, seeing which the villagers became happy and started cheering the daughter-in-law. According to the king's announcement, 5 villages were given to the daughter-in-law. Hearing this story, people ask Lord Ganesha to obey everyone like that daughter-in-law and fulfil their wishes.
