The most at-risk youth in America and many have been displaced from other schools. Montefiore gives them one last chance at turning their lives around and bypassing trouble in their adult lives. 

The 2016 update picks up during Chicago's most violent period in 20 years, following teachers as they try to reach out to former students, many of whom have been interpreted with behavioral or emotional disorders, to save them from the streets.

What Happened To The Last Chance High students?

At last Chance high, every Student has found their path in life and moving forward example. One such case is Braxton Masters, who hadn't switched to the Crossover Educational Institute in Kokomo. In the 2nd quarter, Braxton Masters doesn't believe he would have passed last spring. 

As part of an internship with Lafayette-based Gaylor Electric, the 19-year-old native of Logansport is presently traveling throughout the Midwest. This arrangement allows him to work full-time for a business and still enroll in classes to finish the degree he applied for in science and follow his career as an apprentice electrician. Although Crossing's Kokomo campus opened almost six years ago, many situations have fetched students there, and graduates have pursued various endeavors.

Where Are Last Chance High students Now?

The Crossing permitted Kayla Woodman of Kokomo to finish a master's degree. She is now a psychology major at Indiana University Kokomo, hoping to work in the eating disorder treatment field. Najar attended the Crossing first time as a sophomore and was homeschooled for one term following her graduation from Kokomo High School. Alice Roach, her great-grandmother, noticed a favorable change in Najar once she began attending the Crossing. Both Najar and Roach remarked.

Querry had helped Najar prepare for graduation after working at the Crossing's booth at the farmers' market. In 2013, Crossing graduate RJ Smeltzer, 23, also left Tri-Central High School. Work around the nation installing fiber optics. After a year or so, he left that job because he realized he didn't wish to be far from his family. His uncle advised him to complete his high school studies at the Crossing, serving on the organization's board.
