She is said to be one of the world's best-selling music artists, having sales of more than 120 million records. She graduated in arts from the BRIT School in 2006, and she signed a record deal with XL Recordings. In 2007, she got the Brit Award for Rising Star and also won the BBC Sound of 2008 poll.
