Locating Mechanical Parts in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6

The Mechanical Parts are scattered all over the map and are pretty easy to find. Players can obtain small amounts from chests and other sources like cars, trucks, boats and anything with metal in it. You can also collect Mechanical parts of other players upon eliminating them. Apart from these sources, you can also harvest mechanical parts from semi-trucks and other random vehicles placed around the map. All of these will drop metal parts upon damage and you can obtain more after destroying them. If you have enough gold bars, you purchase parts from NPCs as well.

What are Mechanical Parts Used for in Fortnite?

The primary purpose of these parts is to upgrade Makeshift Weapons into Mechanical Weapons. Some examples of this are converting a Makeshift Rifle into an Assault Rifle, a Makeshift Bow into a Mechanical Bow, etc. Similarly, weapons can be converted to Primal weapons using Primal Parts. Upgradations will increase the Weapon Stats like the rate of fire and damage dealt. Added to this, weapons like Mechanical Bows can be modified with grenades to fire explosive arrows. But once the weapon is converted into a Mechanical or Primal weapon, it cannot be reversed to its original form.
