Navigate to phone app > Voicemail from your Home screen. If you have an iPhone, you can be directed to the automated Voicemail system through voice prompts. Alternatively, you can dial *86 to manually set up.
Tap Set Up Now. If you didn’t get a pop-up then it indicates that your Voicemail was already set. You can simply tap the Greeting at the upper-left corner of the Voicemail screen and proceed further.
Enter your password and tap Done. The length of the password should be 4-6 digits long.
Re-enter the password and tap Done to confirm.
Choose Custom to Record the Greeting. Tap Default to use a default Verizon greeting.
Select Record to begin.
When done, Tap Stop.
