How To Activate UAN Number Online?

First one should register, in order to activate their UAN number online. Follow the steps given below to activate the UAN number.

Visit the portal called “EPF Member.”
One can activate their UAN by simply clicking the “Activate UAN” button.
Then you must enter the information about your UAN, member Id, mobile number, Aadhaar, PAN, name, DOB and email Id.
Proceed to click on the “Get Authorization PIN” option in order to get the PIN, which will be sent to your mobile number.
Enter the PIN in order to verify your request.
Finally create a username and desired password for the UAN portal.

If you already have the UAN and PF member Id, you can follow the given instructions to activate UAN:

First visit “EPFO Website”
Then go to ‘Our services’, select the option ‘For Employees’
Proceed to click ‘Member UAN/Online Services’
You will be redirected to a new page, there enter all the details such as UAN, Mobile Number and PF member ID

Then select ‘Get authorisation PIN’
Click ‘I Agree’ and enter the OTP which will be sent to your registered mobile number.

You cannot activate your UAN number without the mobile number. Although, you can change the mobile number through the following steps given below.

First visit “EPFO Website” and then sign using your UAN and password.
Click the “Contact Details” option which will appear under the “Manage” menu.
Click the “Check Mobile No.” button. After this, you’ll be redirected to a new page. Now enter the new mobile number. Then, select the “Get Authorization Pin” option.
An OTP will be sent to your new mobile number.
Enter the OTP and select “Submit”.
Now your new mobile number will get registered on the EPFO website.
