An angiogram revealed the 16-year-old had a rare condition called Moyamoya disease. According to a tribute posted by the school on Tuesday, Scanlan was a sophomore at Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul, where he played football, basketball, and hockey. He was 16 years old.
