#1. Apollo 17 - final manned lunar landing mission

The final Moon landing mission of NASA's Apollo programme, Apollo 17 (December 7–19 1972), was the most recent time humans have touched foot on the Moon or gone beyond low Earth orbit. Commander Eugene Cernan, Lunar Module Pilot Harrison Schmitt, and Command Module Pilot Ronald Evans made up the crew of the third mission to carry the Lunar Roving Vehicle. Schmitt was the first and only scientist to walk on the Moon, and the mission placed a strong emphasis on science, including a biological experiment involving five mice carried in the command module.

Every year in India Armed Forces Flag Day is celebrated on 7th December. On August 28, 1949, a committee was formed under the leadership of India's then-Defense Minister. The group agreed that every year on December 7, they would commemorate Flag Day. This day is mostly observed to distribute flags and collect contributions from the public.

#5. Janardan Gyanoba Navle

Janardan Gyanoba Navle was earlier the Indian test cricketer. In 1932, Navle faced the first delivery of India's first Test innings. In 1932, he opened both innings at Lord's and also kept wickets. Wisden described him as "a first-rate wicket-keeper, extraordinarily swift in all he performed." In 1926-27, he played for the Indians against Arthur Gilligan's MCC team, and nine years later against Jack Ryder's Australians.

Pramukh Swami Maharaj was the guru and president of the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), a significant branch of the Hindu Swaminarayan Sampradaya. Following Gunatitanand Swami, Bhagatji Maharaj, Shastriji Maharaj, and Yogiji Maharaj, BAPS considers him to be Swaminarayan's fifth spiritual successor.
