Dead by Daylight is a horror video game played by five players, where one player has to take the role of the faceless powerful force Entity and the rest four players try to escape from the clutches of the Entity fighting for survival. The Executioner Balance Update

At Present the cost of missing a Punishment of the Damned attack is  high, and it’s simple to fake Rites of Judgement into a normal attack. The following adjustments address these issues.

Post cancelling Rites of Judgement:

- Movement speed is 3.68 m/s  1 second

- Future attacks cannot be made for 1 second

- To Cool Down before further attacks after Punishment of the Damned reduced from 2.75 seconds to 2.25 seconds

Perks:

- Trail of Torment: Invisibility now lasts until the affected Generator stops regressing or a Survivor is injured or left  into a dying state by any means

-  Forced Penance: Broken Status effect will be  60/70/80 seconds

-  Blood Pact: Haste bonus is  5%,6%, 7%, and will remain until the Survivors are no longer within 16 meters between each other

Perk Updates:

- Any Means Necessary is awarded with Bloodpoints when used, and its cooldown is reduced to 100/80/60 seconds

- For the People awards Bloodpoints when used

- Thanatophobia will no longer affect  healing speed, and its penalties have been enhanced to 4%, 4.5%, 5%

- Mindbreaker’s effect  lasts now at 3,4, 5 seconds

- Cruel Limits’s range has been upped  to 32 meters

- Slippery Meat will no longer affect Bear Trap escapes, and now enhances hook escape attempt probabilities by 2%/3%/4%. The escape attempt percentages are on additive, i.e. with this perk the chance of escaping the hook is now 6%,7%, 8%

- Discordance is within the  range of 32/64/96 meters. It triggers a  loud noise for the Generator when it’s first marked. The presence of the Generator remains visible as long as the conditions are fulfilled. From the time the conditions are no longer fulfilled, the ambience remains for another 8 seconds

- Hex: Huntress Lullaby affects healing and repairing skill checks

- Technician prevents Generator explosions from missed skill checks. The Generator loses and additional 5%/4%/3% progress for skill checks missed

- Pop Goes the Weasel will lasts for 35/40/45 seconds

- We’re Gonna Live Forever  enhances  healing speed by 100% when healing a dying Survivor. Players will now get a  token when saving a Survivor by striking  the Killer with a pallet or blinding them with a flashlight

Generator Terminology changes and clarifications:

- A Generator losing progress over time is called  “regressing” 

- Putting a Generator in a state of regressing  is “damaging the Generator”

- If a Generator loses its progress immediately, this is “losing progress”

- A blocked Generator cannot change its progress

- A blocked Generator will remain in  its regression state, but no progress is lost until it remains unblocked

- A regressing Generator can lose progress because of other effects for example; a Generator affected by - Ruin can lose progress due to Surge

- Surge, Pop Goes the Weasel, and Overcharge have updated their text to reflect these changes

Visual Update:

- Visual updates done  in maps in The MacMillan Estates Realm.

-  Visual update made to Lockers.

-  Added Footstep Visual Effects (VFX)

-  Visual update to  Blood VFX. On Screen Blood Stain, Blood squirt on being hit, Blood pool

-   Visual update for Trapper, Wraith and Hillbilly.

-   Visual update dissolve VFX in-game and in-lobbies.

4K UI Icons

Character portraits updated and customised icons for better picture resolution at 4K. This will result in replacing with your customised icons  when you update.

Perk rarity:

Same Rarity for all the  perks now

- Tier 1: Uncommon

- Tier 2: Rare

- Tier 3: Very Rare

Bug Fixes

System:

- No  daily rituals screen and claiming while in Custom Game

- No  audio sounds while being in the store of the platform after moving from the In-game Store

- The Player Cloud ID added in the soft ban pop-up

Gameplay:

- Fixed an error that might cause a survivor remain in being-carried position after being hooked

- Fixed an error that might cause players have less control on their character after being unhooked

- Fixed an error that caused the Cursed effect appear before any token is earned on the perk Hex: Huntress Lullaby

- Fixed an issue that will cause Hex totems appear as dull totems for some players

- Fixed an issue that had Make Your Choice perk to override a survivor’s Calm Spirit while unhooking

- Fixed an issue that made failed skill check animations to continue after a player let go the interaction button

- Fixed an issue that had the survivor hold the Deathslinger’s chain with one hand after holding and dropping an item

- Fixed an issue that can cause players to receive Torment effect at random times when fighting against The Executioner Character

- Fixed an issue causing survivors in the Cage of Atonement not to have an instant death if the remaining survivors are in the struggle Phase

- Fixed an issue that made The Oni’s Blood Orbs  spawn too far from survivors

Known Issues:

- The Killer will come across an incorrect animation during the start of the match camera pan.
