Apple Epic Games Fortnite Battle Royale

Epic Games decided on Thursday 13th August to pick up a fight with Apple and Google. The Fortnite maker pulled a bold stunt that quickly snowballed into the game and was removed from Apple App Store as well as the Google Play Store.

Epic introduced a new way of paying for V-Bucks, the in-game currency in Fortnite, Thursday morning. Android and iOS players now had the option to purchase V-Bucks through Epic Direct Payment, a route that offered them a 20 percent discount. If instead, they decided to buy the currency through the Play Store or App Store, they would have to continue paying the regular (higher) price.

Can I Play Fortnite Battle Royale on Andriod and iOS?

Yeah. Apple and Google have only de-listed the Fortnite app itself, preventing users from finding it through search in their app stores. If you have the game downloaded to your device right now, you can continue to play it and purchase V-Bucks. If you've ever downloaded Fortnite from the App Store or Play Store before, you can get it from your buying history once again.

How to Reinstall Fortnite on IOS?

Check out the steps on how to reinstall fortnite on IOS here.

  • From the App Store go to My Purchases section, found by clicking on your avatar on the righthand corner of the main screen

  • Then click on Purchase>My Purchase to find all the iOS you have downloaded

  • Search Fortnite

  • The app should show up, and the download process will begin by tapping the cloud icon

The nearly 10 GB collection of app files will still have to be installed, as Fortnite exists on the mobile as a sort of shell for the larger chunk of game files that must be retrieved from Epic servers. But going through that process will put the app back on your home screen and make it available for play, at least for now, once updated.

Epic has said the game will launch next season, Chapter 2 Season 4, on August 27th, but due to ongoing disagreement, it won't be available on the game's iOS version. Epic Games tweeted that - On August 28 Apple will terminate all our developer accounts and cut Epic off from iOS and Mac development tools.
