Animal Crossing Dodo Code 

The Dodo Code is a system that was introduced in New Horizons. A Dodo Code is used to invite other players to one's island. A Dodo Code is obtainable by speaking with Orville inside of Dodo Airlines and asking him for visitors, and telling him to allow friends or any player to come to your island. The code will be a randomized five-character code, consisting of letters and numbers. Players can share the Dodo Code with whomever they please, and anyone can use the code by speaking with Orville and asking to visit someone.

Where to Find Your Dodo Code?

Here is how to get Dodo code from Animal Crossing New Horizons.

On day 2 of adventure, Tom Nook would announce the town plaza that accesses to the airport which has been made available.

Step 1: You will need to go to the Dodo Airlines airport and speak with Orville a Dodo with blue feathers that sits behind the counter. Click on the 'I want visitors' option'.

Step 2: Once you are there, you will have the option to invite visitors to either local or online play. Choose 'online play'.

You will be asked whom you wish to invite. If you already have few friends on the Nintendo Switch who play Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you will have the option of opening the gate to your friends only, letting them visit.

Step 3: For the Nintendo Switch friends, you can tap on 'All my friends'.If you are inviting people who are not on the Nintendo Switch friends list, you will have to request them with a Dodo code. To do so, click on the 'Invite via Dodo Code' feature. Orville would ask you whom you are looking to invite using the code. Choose 'The more, the merrier'.

However, this doesn't mean that anybody can visit your island, as you will have to share the code on social media.

It will request for confirmation. Tap on the 'Yeah, invite anyone' option. Once it has been confirmed, the gate will be open, and you will be given a temporary five-character Dodo Code to invite visitors.
