The three-person development team of the title, InnerSloth, published a blog post on September 23, 2020, that revealed that Among Us will come with a series of sweeping updates. Production on Among Us 2 will cease fully as part of this change in plans. Owing to how many individuals played the social deduction game at the end of summer 2020, InnerSloth abandoned the sequel.
