The Halloween Dopt Me event was part of a major update to the game. By engaging in events and activities in the game, players could win candy, then use that candy to buy exclusive items at the Candy Trading Store. A bunch of minigames replaced the playground, and the school was converted into a haunted house.
When is the Halloween update for Adopt Me 2020?
While Adopt Me still has no word of a 2020 Halloween celebration, there is another big update that was officially released on Friday, Oct. 2. The update began with the Fossil Isle Excavation Event, where players were able to visit Fossil Isle to search for fossils and to examine DNA samples in the laboratory. They'll be able to unlock holograms of fossil pets such as the Pink Dodo and T-Rex as players discover fossils.
