94th Academy Awards

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS)organized the 94th Academy Awards ceremony on March 27, 2022, celebrating the best movies released between March 1 and December 31, 2021, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes were the event's hosts. On December 21, 2021, ten classifications' shortlist of films contesting for nominations was disclosed. The nominations were announced on February 8, 2022, by  Actors Tracee Ellis Ross and Leslie Jordan It was the first ceremony to feature multiple hosts since the 83rd Academy Awards in 2011.

The nominations voting period ended on February 1, 2022. Tracee Ellis Ross and Leslie Jordan announced the nominations on February 8, 2022. The ceremony will take place on March 27, 2022, at the Dolby Theatre, with an estimated 2,500 people in attendance. It was reported that the date was chosen so that it did not conflict with the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
