9/11 attacks were coordinated terrorist attacks by the militant Islamist terrorist group Al-Qaeda against the United States of America. The incident took place on a clear Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001. This attack was one of the most remembered moments in history. Millions of people watched the events on television as 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four US passenger airplanes and made suicide attacks against targets at multiple locations. Satellite images given by space firm Maxar Technologies show how the devastating terror attack looked from space and what has changed since then. The Twin Towers at Manhattan in New York were the ground zero of the first set of attacks where two hijacked planes were piloted into the buildings.

Jack Grandcolas lost his wife Lauren, who was one of the persons in a hijacked flight. On hearing his wife's message on the phone, Jack could not control his emotion. He was immersed in depression after his wife died. He often went to Shanksville to visit the crash site. It increased his pain. Now, Jack is remarried but still working through his loss.
2. Donald Greene

Jody Greene was a six year old girl when her father, 52-year-old Donald Greene, died on Flight 93. As Jody grew older, she understood what had happened. She Googled and watched the movie about Flight 93. Jody decided to become more actively involved in telling Flight 93's story in recent years. She's joined the board of a foundation which works to keep its memory alive for future generations.
3. Honor Elizabeth

Ben Wainio and his wife, Esther Heymann lost their beloved daughter Honor Elizabeth who called Esther from the doomed flight. They have tried to find peace with their grief, while holding the memories of the loved ones close.
