Satellite images given by space firm Maxar Technologies show how the devastating terror attack looked from space and what has changed since then. The Twin Towers at Manhattan in New York were the ground zero of the first set of attacks where two hijacked planes were piloted into the buildings.

Jody Greene was a six year old girl when her father, 52-year-old Donald Greene, died on Flight 93. As Jody grew older, she understood what had happened. She Googled and watched the movie about Flight 93. Jody decided to become more actively involved in telling Flight 93's story in recent years. She's joined the board of a foundation which works to keep its memory alive for future generations.

3. Honor Elizabeth

Ben Wainio and his wife, Esther Heymann lost their beloved daughter Honor Elizabeth who called Esther from the doomed flight. They have tried to find peace with their grief, while holding the memories of the loved ones close.

20th Anniversary of 9/11

A total of 2,996 were killed on 9/11 and more than 25,000 passengers were injured. The total number of people who died include the hijackers; the plane passengers, pilots and crew; 2,606 people in the World Trade Center and nearby areas and 125 people at the Pentagon. The world is still mourning over the incident. Family members of victims of those who died on 9/11 attended the 20th anniversary ceremony on Saturday at the National Memorial & Museum in New York City was on September 11. In the ceremony, 6 moments of silence were observed, acknowledging when each of the World Trade Center towers was struck and fell and the times corresponding to the attack on the Pentagon and the crash of Flight 93. Still many are struggling to come out of the trauma.
