  • A VPN or Proxy server: This is likely blocking you from connecting, as Zwift requires you to connect directly to our servers. Try disabling it before launching Zwift.

  • Your Firewall: Some computer firewalls will block Zwift, especially if they are enterprise strengths. Please make an exception in your firewall for Zwift to link.

  • Connecting Via a Router: Try plugging it in straight to your modem. Your router could have a firewall or setting preventing you from linking to our servers.

  • Meeting Minimum Requirements: Verify that your computer meets our minimum requirements. You need at least 4GB of free space on your hard drive and a destination folder that is not a sync folder (i.e., Dropbox).

  • acOS 10.15 Catalina: Some users have trouble launching Zwift after updating their Mac to this operating system.

Zwift Not Working After Update

If Zwift crashes after the initial launch, try each of these solutions:

  • Make sure your Zwift game is updated, as well as your OS. Outdated graphics drivers often cause crashes on Windows PCs, so use the Windows Update utility to check for graphics driver updates. Or even better, use the control panel included with your graphics drivers.

  • Reboot your device.

  • Uninstall and reinstall the Zwift app.

iOS users: older devices with only 1 GB of ram (including the iPhone 5s) have experienced crashing due to low memory. Our developers have made improvements to reduce these crashes, but they may still occur.
