Who Was The Fox On The Masked Singer?

A lot of clues, in the beginning, pointed towards the actor Jeremy renner since few of the clues were related to superheroes. Though few performances told a different story. Fox name-dropped few people he had worked with saying ‘Doogie to Doubtfire’- Doogie Howser (Neil Patrick Harris) and Mrs.Doubtfire (Roin Williams). Which led us to actor/comedian Wayne Brady, who had worked with both the actors. And the guess was right! Who was the fox on the masked singer this year? Dun! dun! Dun! Wayne Brady.

The fox: a hard kept secret

“It’s the first time in my life that I’ve kept a secret for months on end,” Brady said. “The nature of a performer is you always want to be lauded for what you do, and the fact that you’ve done something that you can’t talk about at all, it’s funny. And then to be doing something that’s the biggest secret on TV right now and then to listen to people speculate and see the internet chatter each week, and the judges talking about it, and your friends and family guessing that you’re on it, I’ve had to lie to people straight to their faces. It’s so nice that I will not have to anymore.” he said in an interview.

Not just a funny guy

After winning season 2, Brady got very emotional, saying that "this is all I’ve done my whole life … I haven’t always been happy … [you're] making me one happy fox." He also hoped that his appearance on The Masked Singer would prove to people that he is more than "the funny guy."

Wayne Brady is a multi-talented performer who can dance, sing, act. He admitted that a lot of people aren’t aware of his skills. “People are like, ‘You sing?’ And I’m like, ‘Hell yeah, I sing!’ This is how I made my money all my life,” Brady jokes.

Brady has a Grammy nomination for best traditional R&B vocal performance in 2009 for his version of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come,”. He dropped a new single called “Flirtin’ With Forever” after winning “The Masked Singer” finale. He also has a brand new album of original music being released at the end of January, following his debut album, which was released in 2008.
