In February, Cross reported on her ancestry-tracking work, "emphasizing the importance of American history and her family experiences, and fighting efforts to forget or rewrite the past. This was because the executive was "concerned about the anchor's willingness to respond to statements by other network cable news anchors and indulge in their executives' comments."
