She got side effects like edema, alopecia, and tremors, from the medication she prescribed. She had been the author of many books like Naomi's Guide to Aging Gratefully: Facts, Myths, and Good News for Boomers. She took part in the competition series Can You Duet as a mentor and Judge, which premiered n CMT. She acted along with actress Laura Prepon in the Lifetime TV film The Killing Game.
