TikTok is a popular app for making videos. Koda is a Tiktoker tik toks videos. The hashtag took off when TikToker @officially_wide, aka Dalton, posted a video sharing argumentative DMs between Koda and @maces2k, aka Mace, another member of the "CarTok" community.
In the DMs, which started midway through an argument, Mace suggested that Koda wasn't cute, and Koda responded. Koda has set her TikTok account to private since the call-out video and has yet to make a comment about the situation. If she does, though, we'll be sure to update.

Among the billion users on TikTok are various communities like BookTok, ArtistTok, DanceTok, and more. People generally make friends with one another within these groups and stand together against bullying in most of them. However, that doesn't mean they're all drama-free. The CarTok community is the latest group to deal with drama after Koda, who goes by Maxmedia 28 on TikTok, insulted another creator's boyfriend for having scoliosis.
The CancelKoda hashtag, which has amassed over six million views at the time of writing, started blowing up after TikToker officially_wide, aka Dalton, posted a video showing the comments made by Koda in a video. He followed up with a second video as well, spreading the use of the hashtag as a caption.
Just hours later, Sky responded to the comments in a now-deleted video on his own channel with a sound saying and Sky also captioned the video, "POV, You come at me for a disability I have ZERO control over. I appreciate each of you that has my back." Scoliosis is the sideways curvature of the spine, and cases can be either extremely mild or severe, causing noticeable posture deformity.
Later, Koda set her TikTok account to private since the call-out video and has yet to make a comment about the situation. If she does, though, we'll be sure to update.

Car influencer @leyahjade, who was also with Mace and Dalton when DM was sent, posted a video explaining the situation, describing how Sky has had multiple surgeries for his scoliosis and hasn't been able to heal it, although it was deleted recently.
The hashtag has since started to spread across CarTok as people call for Koda's cancellation over their comments in their own videos. Some influencers wrap their cars pink in solidarity with Sky and his defenders.
Others are confused about what "cancel Koda'' means, who Koda is, and why it keeps popping up on their For You pages. Later, Sky responded to the situation with his own TikTok, captioned, "pov you come at me for a disability I have ZERO control over" and then also Sky shared his appreciation for all his defenders and wrote, "I appreciate every single one of you that has my back."
