How Should The Research Title Be Like?
Many read only the title and the abstract of a research paper. Only a few will read the whole research paper. The main heading and the abstract of the research paper are the essential parts which must be pleasant to read. The "title" should be straightforward, explanative, good-looking, accurate, appropriate, brief and unique. It should not be misleading. The Research title needs to be simple and straightforward, which should be evident in the readers' minds. But, It is essential to add the most important words and terms (eg. "keywords") in the title.
Which Of The Following Is The Most Common Form Of The Research Title?
There are several forms available for the research titles. Plenty of choices are there to create a title. The title may be in four different forms: Question form, phrase, declarative and interrogative.
1) Question Form
The formation of Questions is a little different from that of statements. The question may be inquiries seeking information or requests for a favour. Most Question Forms include the subject-auxiliary inversion, question words or both. Here comes the question structure, which always stays the same
Question word, auxiliary, subject, main verb.
2) Phrase
A Phrase is a group of words or a singular word which acts as a grammatical unit. For example, the English expression "the very happy squirrel" is a noun phrase with the adjective "very happy". Phrases will have one word or a complete sentence. It is the characteristic manner or style of expression.
As per the first rule: A S (sentence) contains an NP (noun phrase) followed by a VP (verb phrase).
As per the second rule: A noun phrase contains an optional Det (determiner) followed by an N (noun).
3) Declarative
Declarative explains something that creates information known. It may be an explicit explanation or describes something that forms an official statement. For example, The Prime Minister gave a declarative speech on her opposition to the war.
If anybody states a declarative statement, then they are clearly stating something.
A declarative sentence is used to tell opinions, facts, or other information.
The form of a declarative sentence is subject-verb.
4) Interrogative
An interrogative is a clause whose form is associated with question-like meanings. For example, the English sentence "Does Trees gives out Oxygen?" has an interrogative syntax which distinguishes it from its declarative counterpart "Trees give Oxygen". The additional question mark at the end of the statement confirms that the reader is informed of the interrogative mood. Interrogative clauses sometimes are embedded within a phrase, for example: "Science Tells Trees Gives Out Oxygen", where the interrogative clause "Which gives Out Oxygen" serves as a complement of the embedding verb "tells".
