Al Roker is home. Hoda Kotb, a broadcaster, said, "Some people have been wondering during the storm, 'Where is Al?' Al happened to test positive for COVID. We're happy to say he's feeling fine, just mild symptoms. He's home."
Bill Karins, the Stand-in meteorologist, said he has been in communication with Al Roker as to how to cover the 'devastation of the Florida hurricane.'
Bill said, "He's been sending us notes. He wants to be here, he feels well."

He revealed in November 2020 that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Roker had a successful operation on November 9. By November 17, he was at home recovering. Hoda and fellow "Today" show host Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager have each tested positive for the virus at different times throughout this year. Roker was born on August 20, 1954, and he is 68 years old now.
