After releasing a feature that makes viewing status updates right within the chat list possible, WhatsApp is working on another feature to help the moderation team keep the platform safe for all users: the ability to report a status update. This feature will allow users to report someone's Status update without informing them. This is already available on other Meta-owned social media platforms, including Instagram. Once a user reports any Status update, it will be sent to WhatsApp for further action.
