The family of Zakes released a statement to TshisaLIVE confirming Zakes Bantwini's death. He was professionally known as Zakes Bantwini. Zakes Bantwini has worked with fellow musician Black Coffee, with whom Zakes collaborated on the song 'Juju.'

Yes. Zakes Bantwini is alive. But his dad died. Sihlangusihle Jeffrey Khanyile's children said in a statement. "We are devastated by the loss of our father. We will miss his sense of humour, his resilience and how he always made sure we follow our culture. He will be deeply missed for his kindness and loving nature." Zakes Bantwini shared the sad news, posting a white dove on Instagram.

It was Zakes Bantwini’s father who died and not Zakes Bantwini. Nandi Madida, Zakes Bantwini's wife, took to the comment section to calm her husband. She told him he was a good son to his father and he was alive to see it.  On her Instagram timeline, Nandi paid tribute to her "father in love."

Zakes Bantwini is alive. Producer and musician Zakhele "Zakes Bantwini" Madida reportedly lost his dad, and not much is known about the cause of death. Zakes bid his dad farewell in an Instagram post. Zakes captioned it with a dove.

Nandi Madida took to Instagram to share what her father-in-law meant to her and passed on her condolences to Zakes and the Madida family.
