To me, it was clear that I needed to create a plan and approach this like any other recovery. And when you get hurt, they constantly tell you what steps you need to take to go back to where you need to be. I just wanted to construct a roadmap and set goals for myself to get there."

"So I call them first downs every time I score a tiny goal," he said. "Every time I have a big goal, like walking at the draught or dancing at my wedding, I consider those as touchdowns. And when it came to my rehab, I just tried to treat it like a football game."
