On the Night of WrestleMania 38, The Usos defended the WWE "Smackdown" Tag Team Championships against competitors Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs. On the Night of WrestleMania 38, Boogs and his partner Shinsuke Nakamura aginst Jey Uso and Jimmy . At the end of the match, Boogs tried to attempt to lift opponents on his shoulders; however, Boogs suffered torn quad muscles in the process.
So Rick's injury confirmed that he had a torn quad tendon in his left leg. Later that month, it was reported by PWInsider that he had undergone successful surgery and would be recovering at his home in Birmingham. Recently, Rick posted a video on Twitter. In that video, he was doing upper-body training while putting weight and standing up on his injured leg.
In May, after his surgery, he posted a video on his youtube channel where he discussed gym training, physical therapy, and regaining power in his leg, and Rick seemed to be in good spirits.
While there is no confirmation on a return date for the 34-year-old, the injury he suffered has a regular recovery time of 6-to-12 months, which would place his return anywhere from later this year to after next year's WrestleMania.
