Who Is Karen Jackson On Shameless?

A former key character from seasons 1 and 2, Karen Jackson makes a comeback as a recurrent character in season 3. She is initially presented as a promiscuous classmate who Lip teaches; nevertheless, throughout the first season, the two finally start dating. Karen’s parents are Sheila and Eddie Jackson. Her mother Sheila is mentally ill, having developed agoraphobia and obsessive compulsive disorder sometime during Karen’s childhood.

Karen's character starts to lose control after having a mental breakdown at the end of Season 1; she grows more resentful and bitter, taking advantage of people to get what she wants. She is one of the two primary antagonists of Season 2 due to her rudeness and her manipulation of Lip. Karen relocated to Arizona with Jody and her child to recover after suffering brain damage from being driven over by Mandy. Since the conclusion of season three, she hasn't been seen. Karen underwent a significant plot development that contributed to illuminating Lip's personality and winning us on to the idea of the two of them becoming together.
