What happened to Atreus in God of war Ragnarok?

Atreus took the tough decision to leave and find his path. The Jotnar eventually accepted the challenge of locating and rescuing more giants, even though he could not do so with his father's assistance. He had to travel with Angrboda and aid in the rescue of his people. The two shared a heartfelt moment as they said goodbye in tears. Atreus made the difficult decision to carry out the necessary actions and assume responsibility for the future. While seeing his son go off with Angrboda and Fenrir on whatever they did next, Kratos acknowledged that he was proud of him.

God of War Ragnarok Atreus's death

Even though Atreus' fate in Ragnarok is undoubtedly heartbreaking, he did not die. Atreus informs Kratos that he must embark on his quest to restore the giants and return to his people after learning of Faye's deeds. Kratos expresses his sadness at learning that Atreus plans to leave him while also expressing his pride in everything he has learned and achieved. In an extraordinarily emotional exchange, he informs his son that while Loki will depart, Atreus will stay in his heart.

And now, three years after all those events and fighting many battles along with his father, Atreus is 5 ft 4 inches at 14 years old in God of War Ragnarok.
