What Happened To AGT Tonight?
Howie Mandel was obviously absent from last week's broadcast, and the host Terry Crews made a brief official statement: "Howie Mandel isn't feeling well, so he won't be here tonight," he said. Terry said that the rules had been altered so that two "yes" votes would progress the act and three red buzzers would halt them while there were only three judges for the time being. Fans naturally continued to speculate what had actually happened to Howie. One person even used Twitter to ask the AGT judge a specific question, saying, "Howie, are you gone for some of the tapings? You’re not in Urban Crews audition." Howie replied to the fan by simply tweeting, "I got Covid," in response.
Howie admitted that despite appearing to have healed physically from COVID-19 since then, he had experienced mental health issues as a result of being forced to isolate. According to him, "I'm vaxxed, and I'm boosted, so my symptoms weren't terrible," he said, according to People. "But ... the mental pain of me being locked in a room for 10 days, not going near anybody ... I went insane."
Howie won't be on the show for all of AGT season 17, but since he was out with COVID-19, we anticipate that his absence will be noticed in more subsequent episodes.
What Channel Is America's Got Talent On Tonight?

AGT 2022 Auditions
The seventeenth season of America's Got Talent has begun. The audition process for contestants to perform for judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, and Howie Mandel kicks off the show, as fans are already aware. To advance to the next round, competitors must get at least three Judges' nods. Each Judge has the option to press the coveted Golden Buzzer, which sends an Act straight to the live shows (along with AGT Host Terry Crews). There will be 15 variety acts competing for the chance to win the Golden Buzzer, which would advance them to the Live Shows, and feature contestants of all ages. Beginning on August 9, AGT live events will air, with episodes running every Tuesday night and the results episodes airing every Wednesday night. Contestants must move past the audition and Judges' Cuts rounds in order to compete in the live performances.
