This incident happened on February 14, 2018, at Parkland. Initially, it was believed that the shooter must have used an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle. Later, they identified the shooter, a former school student, Nikolas Cruz, at the age of 19.

They have also added that fourteen members were wounded, and five others were sent to the hospital with critical injuries. Authorities reported that the suspect, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, concealed himself in the crowd fleeing at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School following the massacre on Wednesday afternoon. He was arrested in nearby Coral Springs.

Didn’t believe because he was mentally ill he should get the death penalty.” Ryan Petty said to the interviewers, “Either didn’t understand the facts in this case, or ishonest with themselves when they signed up to become a juror and would never have voted for the death penalty.
