The Vicar of Dibley is a British sitcom that initially ran on BBC One from 10 November 1994 to 1 January 2000 and with periodic breaks from 25 December 2004 to 23 December 2020. The backdrop is set in a fictitious small Oxfordshire village called Dibley, allocated a female vicar following the 1992 transformations in the Church of England that authorized the ordination of women. It is among the numerous victorious British programs in the digital generation, the Christmas and New Year specials joining the UK's top 10 programs of the year. The Vicar of Dibley obtained multiple British Comedy Awards, two Global Emmys, and was a multiple British Academy Television Awards nominee. It ranked third in a BBC poll of Britain's Best Sitcoms, in the year 2004. In addition to the twenty major episodes between 1994 and 2007, the sequel incorporates multiple shorter charity specials and 'lockdown' episodes produced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dawn will return to the role of Geraldine, the Vicar of Dibley. 3) Gary Waldhorn as Cllr David Horton
Gary was well-known as a Shakespearean actor prior to Dibley. He also appeared in TV shows from the 1980s such as Brush Strokes and Lovejoy. In Dibley, he played the no-nonsense Councillor Horton, who didn't believe in female vicars at first but eventually warmed up to Geraldine. Gary, 77, now enjoys the quiet life of retirement and has remained off-screen since his days as the Vicar of Dibley.
4) James Fleet as Hugo Horton
James will appear in the 2020 Christmas specials, reprising his role as the dimwitted but kind Hugo.The actor is best known for his portrayal of the bumbling and well-meaning Tom in the British romantic comedy Four Weddings and a Funeral in 1994. James has appeared in a number of popular TV shows and films, including a seven-episode stint as Robbie Sloane in Coronation Street. He appeared in the third season of The Unforgotten in 2018.

5) John Bluthal as Frank Pickle
Between 1994 and 2007, actor John played Frank in the comedy, and he was known for his boring and endless stories. In one storyline, he came out as gay on the radio, only to discover that no one had tuned in because they were afraid he would ramble on too long. John was well-known for his roles in The Gladys Half-Hour and The Bed-Sitting Room with Spike Milligan. When the actor died in November 2018 at the age of 89, fans were devastated.
