Valorant the first person tactical shooter game developed by Riot Games. The developers of the game were particular about releasing it exclusively for PC (Microsoft Windows). Valorant New Update Size

The Valorant Patch Notes 2.01 that was released on 20th January 2021 has a number of new updates, bug fixes and technical tweeks in it.  Some of the main revisions that were undertaken in the Valorant patch note 2.01 are reduction of Jett’s smoke duration and a huge map split. Valorant Latest Update Patch Notes

Agent Update - Jett’s Smoke time was reduced. In Valorant Patch note 1.0 Riot Games increased the time duration of smoke for Jett’s character from 4 seconds to 7 seconds. But they realised that  this resulted in Jett becoming a substitute for the Controller Role. As such other aggressive players started using this time frame to take space without a dedicated controller. The aim behind the smoke feature that was unique to Jett was that she would be able to use this smoke time as a means to create temporary windows for high action. Therefore Riot Games decided to reduce the time duration of Jett’s smoke feature.

Map Update - Split Map. The split map was something that was introduced earlier but there were a few glitches in the map and all these were rectified in the Valorant 2.01 patch note. This new update includes

  • Reduced the 50/50 checks

  • Increased the depth in certain areas

  • Increased chokepoint widths

  • Increased the width of B Main doorway

  • Increased the boundary of Spike Plant Zone

  • Reduced depths in certain corners

  • Added new material stack fo cover in B site

  • Increase the width of Vent Room entrance

  • Added a sloped wall in the Vent room

  • The cubby near the defender Spawn removed 

  • Width of doorway to A tower increased

Competitive Updates -  Riot games have added an update in the Competitive queue wherein the players will now be able to play the matches a bit quicker. This update was also announced via Twitter

Social Updates - A number of social updates were also incorporated in this update

  • Adding enemy players option has been removed

  • You can only Add Friends for Teammates 

  • The Add friend button will not be present  for all those with privacy/streamer mode enabled 

  • AFK-ing in-game and during pre-game queue restrictions have changed

Bug Fixes - The main aim of the update 2.01 was to fix the bugs and a huge number of bugs and issues were fixed. 

Apart from all these fixes they have also officially thanked all those who have reported regarding the bugs and issues which enabled them to change and add modifications. Further they have also stated that they are keeping an eye out for future bugs and issues so that they will be  able to rectify them and give the gamers a competitive gaming experience.
