At the World Athletics Council Meeting in Oregon, USA, the Council declared that the 2024 World Athletics Cross Country Championships would be held in Medulin and Pula in Croatia, and the 2026 World Athletics Cross Country Championships would be held in Tallahassee, Florida.
The World Athletics Championships 18th edition starts in Oregon, USA, and Budapest in Hungary will host the 2023 event.
The 2022 edition is now being organized in Oregon, USA, which was initially scheduled to be held in 2021 but postponed by 1 year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bhupinder Singh, a Ghazal singer, died due to suspected colon cancer and COVID-19-related complications.

The singer was 82 and was best known for songs such as 'Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Aasman' ("Sitara"), 'Dil Dhoondta Hai' ("Mausam"), 'Duniya Chhute Yaar Na Chhute' ("Dharam Kanta"), and 'Naam Gum Jayega' ("Kinara").
Bhupinder was born in Amritsar, Punjab, and worked with the biggest names in the music industry, such as R D Burman, Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Bappi Lahiri, and Asha Bhosle, among others.

This is Ashish's 2nd tenure in the BSE, and under SEBI guidelines, a candidate cannot be appointed MD & CEO for more than 2 tenures. BSE is searching for a new CEO in place of Ashish. As per Sebi norm, the MD and CEO of a stock exchange have to apply and compete with other candidates for the top job after completing the 5-year term.
