In the Commonwealth Games 2022, India won eighteen medals till now. India has sent a team consisting of 322 members; the expected medal count is 20 in multiple sports.

Murali soared to 8.08m in his 5th attempt to finish 2nd behind Laquan Nairn of Bahamas in a men's long jump final.
Nairn had the best jump of 8.08m, but his 2nd best of 7.98m was better than the 7.84m of Murali. South Africa's Jovan van Vuuren (8.06m) took the bronze.
