Suresh N Patel Becomes The Central Vigilance Commissioner
Vigilance Commissioner, Suresh N. Patel was now appointed as the Central Vigilance Commissioner.

Since June this year, he has been working as the acting Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC).
At Rashtrapati Bhavan, Suresh N. Patel was sworn in as the chief of the Central Vigilance Commission by President Droupadi Murmu. The ceremony was attended by PM Narendra Modi and Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu.
Indian Weightlifter Gurdeep Singh Won Bronze At Commonwealth Games 2022
Gurdeep Singh from India won a bronze medal in the men's 109+kg weightlifting event. He lifted a total weight of 390kg (167kg+223kg) in the final.

Gurdeep Singh joined Gururaja Poojary and Lovepreet Singh to add a 3rd bronze medal for India in weightlifting.
The gold went to Muhammad Nooh Butt from Pakistan for his Games record-breaking lift of 405kg (173kg+232kg).
David Andrew Liti from New Zealand got the silver for his effort of 394kg (170kg+224kg).

He failed to clear 2.25 but won the bronze medal after being faster to jump 2.22m against the 4th-placed athlete. He tried 2.28m on his last jump but failed.
