In Kerala, there are around 75000 children who are below 18 years of age and are living in orphanages. In this situation, it is tough for them to continue their education. So the Government of Kerala has introduced the Snehapoorvam scholarship, which will help these students to continue their education despite the death of their parents or breadwinner. All the children who are below five years of age to class 12th and even to degree colleges are eligible to avail of this scholarship scheme. Through the successful implementation of this scheme, the orphan children will be able to continue their education despite financial problems.

For the scholarship you have to follow the simple procedures given below:-
1. Visit the Official Website link provided here On the homepage, click on KSSM Web Application
2. A new webpage will be displayed on your screen
3. Click on the login button
4. Click on New Institution Register option
5. Fill all the required details
6. Finally, login using your user Id and password.
7. The Registration process will begin
8. Fill all the elements necessary.
Selection Procedure
1. First of all, you have to go to the head office of government or a government-aided educational institution
2. Take the application form from there
3. Now you need to fill all the required details
4. After that attach all the required documents
5. Now apply to the same institution
6. The official will verify your application form
7. After verification, the application form will be converted into PDF format and submitted to the online portal to the executive director of Kerala social security mission
Eligibility Criteria for Snehapoorvam Scholarship 2020-21
To be eligible for the scheme you need to follow the following eligibility criteria given below:-
1. The candidate must be a resident of Kerala state
2. The applicant must be an orphan
3. An applicant must be studying in any of the government or private school of Kerala state
4. The applicant must belong to below the poverty line
5. For children belonging to APL Category, the annual income must be-
6. Below 20,000 for rural areas
7. Below 22,375 or less for urban areas

What are the Incentive Amounts provided in this scheme?
The following incentive amounts are provided for the students for registering themselves under the Snehapoorvam Scholarship 2020-21
