Snapcodes are scannable badges read by smartphones. These are QR codes with a white ghost, yellow background, and a unique arrangement of black dots. Each Snapchat user will have their own individual Snapcode, which doubles as a profile picture and shareable “follow” button. Snapchat codes will allow Snapchatters to add friends and followers quickly. Special Snapcodes can be created to share branded filters, unlock exclusive content, and more.
How To Scan Snapchat Codes?
On A Camera Roll
If a friend has texted, Bluetooth shared, or Airdropped a photo of their Snapcode, save it to the camera roll.
Then open the Snapchat app and tap on the profile icon in the upper left-hand corner of the camera screen.
Select the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner to access the Snapchat settings.
Now, select Snapcodes.
Choose Scan from Camera Roll.
Locate and select the Snapcode on the camera roll to scan it.
When the process is done Snapcode will turn into a winking ghost icon, and a pop-up will give the option to add the person as a friend.
From the camera screen
Open Snapchat camera screen.
With the friend's Snapcode viewable on their mobile device's screen, tap and hold the camera screen over their Snapcode.
A pop-up will give the option to add that person as a friend.

Open Snapchat and tap on the profile photo
Select the Settings icon in the upper right corner
Tap Snapcodes
Choose Create Snapcode, and add the URL
