Shree Ashtavinayak Darshan

Shree Ashtavinayak is a group of 8 temples of Lord Ganesha that are spread across Maharashtra. Devotees of Lord Ganesha as well as others visit these 8 temples as a pilgrimage. It is a general belief that visiting these 8 temples should be done at a stretch and should not be broken in the middle of visitation. Devotees should complete the entire revolution by starting from the first temple and coming back to the same temple after all the 8 temples. This pilgrimage is often called the Ashtavinayak Yatra. The term Ashtavinayak in itself is indicative of this fact wherein Ashta contains the meaning 8 and Vinayaka is another name for Lord Ganesha. Temples have always had a soft spot in the hearts of most of the people and many enjoy visiting temples as these places of worship bring people a sense of peace and tranquility. But all this stopped with the coming of the pandemic. The COVID 19 forced people not to visit temples as the Government of India has placed restrictions on temple visitation during the lockdown period.
